The Sacrifices of Myanmar’s Youth In Resistance

Spinta alla clandestinità da un regime militare spietato, un’intera generazione, composta da ex studenti e ingegneri, ha imbracciato le armi per riconquistare la democrazia e dopo anni di vittorie e sconfitte, continua a seppellire le vittime di una guerra ampiamente ignorata dalla comunità internazionale.

For the fifth anniversary of the coup, the photographer followed young resistance fighters battling the junta in Myanmar. Driven underground by a ruthless military regime, a generation — former students and engineers — has taken up arms to reclaim democracy. After years of gains and losses, they continue to bury their dead in a war largely ignored by the international community.
