Questo lavoro è stato realizzato nel 2024 in un collegio per bambini ciechi e ipovedenti a Sebeta, in Etiopia. Crescendo in un ambiente istituzionale, i piccoli imparano a orientarsi nel mondo attraverso il tatto, il suono e la memoria spaziale. Le fotografie sono state perforate a mano, trasformando le immagini in superfici tattili — un tentativo di tradurre l’esperienza visiva in una forma che possa anche essere percepita con il tatto.
This project tells the story of childhood experienced beyond sight. The photographs were made in 2024 in a boarding school for blind and partially sighted children in Sebeta, Ethiopia. Growing up within an institutional environment, the children learn to navigate the world through touch, sound, and spatial memory. The prints were later manually perforated, transforming the images into tactile surfaces — an attempt to translate visual experience into a form that can also be felt.
