🇮🇹 Intoccabili (altresì conosciuti come Dalits) è un termine colloquiale per le più basse caste sociali in India, che include persone che svolgono le cosiddette professioni “impure”. Macellai, coloro che bruciano cadaveri durante il processo di crematura, addetti alle pulizie di bagni e grondaie, calzolai, lavandai ecc. Raj Kumar Ram (Rajkumar) viene da una piccolissima comunità Harijan che fa parte degli Intoccabili. Ha 28 anni e vive con la moglie Devi e due bambini.

🇬🇧 Untouchables (otherwise known as Dalits) is a colloquial term for the lowest social caste in India, which includes people who perform the so-called “unclean” professions. This includes butchers, men involved in burning corpses during the cremation rite, toilet and gutter cleaner, cobbler, washerman etc. Raj Kumar Ram (Rajkumar) comes from the very small Harijan community that is part of the Untouchables. Rajkumar is now 28 years old and lives with wife Devi and two children.
