Loay Ayyoub
Per sei mesi, a partire dalle prime ore che sono seguite all’attacco inaspettato su Israele il 7 Ottobre 2023 e fino a Marzo 2024 – Loay Ayyoub ha fotografato per il Washington Post la guerra a Gaza, uno dei conflitti più devastanti di questo secolo che ha strappato decine di migliaia di vite, ha portato al più largo esodo nella regione dalla creazione dello stato di Israele nel 1948, e ha ridotto almeno la metà della popolazione in condizioni di carestia.
For six months — from the first hours following Hamas’ unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, to March 2024 — Loay Ayyoub photographed for The Washington Post the war in Gaza, one of the most devastating conflicts of this century, which has claimed tens of thousands of lives, led to the largest displacement in the region since Israel’s creation in 1948, and plunged at least half the population into famine-like conditions.
