Oggi in Colombia più di 21 milioni di abitanti tirano avanti con meno di 88 dollari statunitensi al mese e 7,4 milioni con meno di 39 dollari. Da questi dati è facile capire perché gli equilibri sono così delicati nei quartieri poveri delle grandi città, dove il narcotraffico opera considerando i giovani come possibili reclute. I più vulnerabili subiscono uno sradicamento che finisce solo per accentuarsi a causa della mancanza di opportunità lavorative e di un’istruzione adeguata.

Nowadays in Colombia more than 21 million people survive with less than 88 US dollars a month and 7,4 million with less than 39 US dollars. Having this in mind it is not difficult to understand why balances are so fragile in the disadvantaged neighbourhoods of all the big cities where the youth is the target of the drug trafficking’s recruitment. The most vulnerable fall prey to an uprooting stressed by the lack of job opportunities and education.
