La fotografa è cresciuta nella campagna della Germania dell’Ovest, dove le foreste erano luoghi di magia, miti e avventure dell’infanzia. Questi paesaggi hanno contribuito a formare la sua visione di natura come di una fonte di stupore e dei cicli della vita. Ritornando durante la pandemia, ha ritrovato quei luoghi devastati dal cambiamento climatico. She grew up in rural western Germany, where forests were filled with magic, myths, and childhood adventures. These landscapes shaped her understanding of nature as a source of wonder and the rhythms of life. Returning during the pandemic, she found them devastated by climate change. Through photography, she explored our relationship with nature, motherhood, and myths such as the Rauhnächte. Even in loss, life renews itself. Her work honors this bond and calls for a renewed commitment to protecting and reconnecting with the wild.
