🇮🇹 Molti immigrati africani sono impiegati nella raccolta dei pomodori del Sud Italia. Si tratta di un lavoro duro, spesso sottopagato e quasi sempre svolto illegalmente. La fotografa ha incontrato un gruppo di lavoratori provenienti dal Sudan e dal Ciad che si sono accampati in un edificio abbandonato fuori dal paese. Ha avuto modo di conoscerli e alla fine ha chiesto loro di poterli ritrarre con lo sfondo delle loro coperte, spesso unico riparo e confine tra il mondo interno ed esterno.

🇬🇧 Many African immigrants are involved in the harvest of tomatoes in the South of Italy. It is a harsh job, often underpaid and almost always off the books. The photographer met with a group of workers coming from the Republic of the Sudan and the Republic of Chad, who camped in an abandoned building outside the village. She got to know them and eventually asked to portray them against the backdrop of their blankets, often their only shelter and the boundary between the inner and outer world.
