🇮🇹 Questo progetto si propone di esaminare i vuoti lasciati sia sulla Terra, a causa dell’attività mineraria, sia negli abitanti di Carajas, in Brasile, che conservano nella loro memoria la storia di questa regione.
Carajas è la più grande miniera di ferro del mondo ed è situata nel cuore della foresta pluviale del Brasile. Oggi genera miliardi di dollari di profitti per le multinazionali, ma un tempo era la sede del più importante movimento di guerriglia in Brasile.

🇬🇧 This project aims at examining the voids that were created because of mining both in the earth and in the lives of the inhabitants of Carajas, Brazil, who carry on their memory the complex history of this region.
Carajas, the largest iron ore mine in the world, is located in the heart of Brazil’s rainforest. Today, it generates billions of dollars in profits for corporations but once it was the site of the most important guerrilla movement in Brazil.
