Transnistria is more than a Soviet relic for the photographer and his family. His parents left Chișinău in 2000 for Germany but see Transnistria as home. The Ukraine war has put the region under the spotlight, highlighting its ties to Russia. Migration divides people between Russia and Europe. This project explores this complex identity between nostalgia, politics, and an ever-present sense of division.
