The Jury of the World.Report Award 2018 unanimously assigns the following awards to:

  • Paula Bronstein for the reportage Stateless, Stranded and Unwanted: the Rohingya Crisis in the Master Award section. The reportage will be exhibited in the next Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography in the presence of the photographer, who will receive 6,000 Euros, before taxes, as a prize.;
  • Tommaso Protti for the reportage Terra Vermelha in the Spot Light Award section. The reportage will be exhibited in the next Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography in the presence of the photographer, who will receive 3,000 Euros, before taxes, as a prize;
  • Camillo Pasquarelli for the reportage The Valley of Shadows in the Short Story Award section. The reportage will be exhibited in the next Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography in the presence of the photographer, who will receive 1,500 Euros, before taxes, as a prize;
  • Nanna Heitmann for the reportage Gone from the Window – The End of an Era in the Student Award section. The reportage will be exhibited in the next Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography in the presence of the photographer, who will receive 1,000 Euros, before taxes, as a prize.

For the No Profit Award section:

  • First Non-Profit organization: CARE HARBOR for the reportage Caring for the Invisible of Los Angeles. The reportage will be exhibited in the next Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography in the presence of the Non-Profit organization, which will receive 2,000 Euros, before taxes, as a prize;
  • Second Non-Profit organization: AVSI Foundation for the reportage Mwavita – Born in a Time of War. The reportage will be exhibited in the next Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography in the presence of the Non-Profit organization, which will have covered the printing costs as prize;
  • Third Non-Profit organization: Water Grabbing Observatory for the reportage And I Will Make the Rivers DryThe reportage will be exhibited in the next Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography in the presence of the Non-Profit organization, which will have covered the printing costs as prize.

For the Single Shot Award  – Giving voice to values, giving voice to hope:

  • First Prize: Laurence Geai in the Single Shot Award section. The image will be exhibited in the next Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography in the presence of the photographer, who will receive 1,000 Euros, before taxes, as a prize;
  • Second Prize: Giles Clarke in the Single Shot Award section. The image will be exhibited in the next Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography in the presence of the photographer, who will receive 600 Euros, before taxes, as a prize;
  • Third Prize: Bente Marei Stachowske in the Single Shot Award section .The image will be exhibited in the next Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography in the presence of the photographer, who will receive 500 Euros, before taxes, as a prize.

This section has been realized thanks to the educational unrestricted grant of IBSA Farmaceutici Italia.

Moreover, the top 30 finalists of this section will have their photos exhibited during the 2018 Edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography and they will be included in a catalogue and in a calendar specifically printed for this section.

These candidates represent the winners from more than 900 submissions from 50 different countries and five continents.

The Jury of the World.Report Award 2018 was composed of the following: Sarah Leen – National Geographic, Francis Kohn – Presidente del World Press Photo 2016, Caroline Hunter – The Guardian, Aldo Mendichi – Festival della Fotografia Etica, Alberto Prina – Festival della Fotografia Etica.
